Wojangles!

We got back from Little Rock last night for Wo's wedding. It was a fun weekend spent with good friends from Alabama. It was so good to see the Hollingsworths! I have missed that family dearly. They are such an important part of my life and it was good to see them. I loved seeing Wojangles so happy, too! Caroline looked beautiful and the wedding was seriously something from a fairy tale.

They had two receptions, which equaled a LOT of cake. The first reception was so that all of the people at the Hollingsworth's church could attend. Here is a picture from that reception... aren't Wo and Caroline just precious?
The second reception was beautiful. When I get married, I want my reception to be like that. The center pieces were stunning....
Wo's second (and third) groom's cake was amazing! I loved the elephant. The cake with the Alabama "A" on was so good!
Isn't it just beautiful? It was seriously a fairy tale reception and I am in love with it!

Like I said, it was great to see friends and family at the wedding...
Holly and I with Nick, Kayla, and Shelby. Nick was my very best guy friend in high school and college. Shelby is his little sister and is so funny! She is also now dating Jonathan's little brother, so maybe one day we will all be in Little Rock for another wedding? And Kayla's older brother went to high school with me and I taught her colorguard my senior year. It was so great to see all of them!Kevin was a groomsmen in the wedding, so he and Alicean were there too. We got to spend time with Alicean the day of the wedding and we got to see Kevin at the reception. It's always fun getting time to hang with the sibs, we only wish Chase had been able to come too! I love the picture of us below with Kevin... we all look so much alike in it!And last, but not least, is a picture with my Nicky-poo. Like I said earlier, Nick was one of my best friends in high school and college. I still consider him a dear friend, and I love getting to see him. I love that we can go months without talking, but always pick up where we left off and have a great time together!
Nick and I have always had an agreement that if we are 33 and still single, we would marry each other. Some of our friends at the wedding decided that ten more years was too long to wait, so they want to start planning now. It was all in good fun, but now Nick and I are "married" on facebook. So I guess he will be my facebook hubby for now. ;-)

It was such a great wedding. I've been to a ton this year, but this was the prettiest. Congrats to Wo and Caroline, I couldn't be happier for you two!!!

This week looks pretty easy. I don't have much going on, but I'm sure that will change as the week goes on. Tuesday we get our new puppy! I will try to post pics of him soon, I'm sure he will be adorable! Wednesday our bible study is starting our new study. We are doing So Long Insecurity by Beth Moore. I've heard good things about this book, so I can't wait to start reading it! :) Until next time....

Sleep, Little Rock, Movies, and Onesies....

It is literally going to kill me when I have to get back on a normal schedule for work. Ever since we moved into our new apartment, we've had people over literally every night! I'm definitely not complaining because anyone who knows me knows that I love playing hostess. And! almost every night, the last person doesn't leave until sometime between 1 and 2 in the morning! (And sometimes they just end up spending the night!) I guess it's a compliment because we're so much fun to hang out with... haha. But seriously, I haven't been going to bed until 1 or 2 or even 3 AM... which then leads to me sleeping until at least 10:30! This is bad! Pretty soon I have to start going to bed before 10 PM and getting up at 5, and right now I don't know how I'm going to do it!

I guess tomorrow will be good practice. Tomorrow morning we are leaving for Little Rock at 7 AM. Yikes! Our dear friend Jonathan (aka "Wo") is getting married there tomorrow night. Jonathan's family moved in next door to my family when I was in the 5th grade. We lived next door to each other until the summer after my freshmen year of college. That is when we sold our mom's house, and his parents moved to Little Rock. He was like my other big brother growing up. We rode to school together, we had keys to each others houses, and he basically lived in our basement. I'm really excited to see his family tomorrow and especially see him get married. I am also excited because this is the first wedding in a long time that I get to go to as a guest and not a wedding party member. I plan to enjoy it! On Sunday morning we will be going to the church where his dad now preaches in Arkansas. (Did I mention his dad was also our preacher growing up?) I haven't heard Gary preach in years, so I am excited about that. Then we will head back to good ol' Dallas!

Today Travis has decided that it's movie day. Therefore, we are spending our day at the movies. We are going to see Despicable Me first. Then we are grabbing dinner in the mall food court and going to see Inception tonight. I have heard that both movies are good, so hopefully they hold up to what I've heard! I've also got to pack today. And send Tiff and Cody their baby package! I went a little crazy buying baby girl clothes... but here is my favorite onesie that I bought!
Also, my dog is way cuter than yours. ;-)

Baby Fever!

"Babies!"

This is my friend Ian's favorite quote... he says it ALL THE TIME. And currently, it describes my life perfectly.

I am currently falling in love.

The sad thing is, is it's with three little ones who aren't even born yet! Three of my closest friends are pregnant, and I already love each of their babies more than I can imagine.

Lacey is (or I guess "was") one of my co-workers. We met at new teacher orientation last summer and we were instant friends. Most people we worked with thought we had known each other forever, but really we just clicked right away. Her and her husband, Baron, are expecting their first child in about three weeks. His name will be Charlie and he has already stolen my heart. I have painted him things, bought him pretty much an entire wardrobe, and basically reserved the month of August to hang out with that little munchkin. I absoutely can't wait to hold him and kiss him and spoil him some more! They are moving to Alabama right after he is born, and I'm already planning my trips home to where I can make it to Enterprise to see that baby boy!

Bonnie is one of my other co-workers. She was another first year teacher and we taught 5th grade together. Her and her husband tried for a baby for several months, and I prayed for months that they would be blessed with one. Their munchkin is due on November 28th. They aren't finding out what it is, which I think will be super exciting on delivery day! I don't have the patience for it, but I can only imagine how thrilling it will be to not only find out the sex of your baby one day but get the baby the same exact day. I have bought it clothes and painted it stuff too. I can't wait for him/her to be here!

And last, but certainly not least, two of my dearest friends are expecting. I've been friends with Tiffany and Cody for years and I was honored to stand by their side on their wedding day. And yesterday, we found out they are expecting a beautiful baby girl! I am ecstatic!!! Our group of friends call ourselves "The Six" and we've always said that our babies would be "The Sixlets"... and now our first Sixlet is on the way! And how appropriate that it's a girl to fit in with us all! She is due November 1st and I am so extremely thrilled. I am going baby shopping tomorrow to buy it tons of outfits, and I'm itching to paint something for the nursery. She will be loved so much by her mom and dad, and loved so much by her "aunt" Julie, "aunt" Erin, "aunt" Betsy, "aunt" Holly, and "aunt" Heather. (I'm personally pulling for the name Bethany Lynn for the baby... mainly because BETH can stand for BetsyErinTiffanyHeather and Lynn is Holly and Julie's middle name so it would literally be a sixlet.... but it's just a joke ;-) )

I can't wait for the day that I will be having my own child. But since that isn't in the books for a long time, God has blessed me with these three little miracles to love on and adore. I can't wait for the new baby boy, new baby girl, and new baby surprise that I get to love on soon! :)

Just Enchanted

The boys wouldn't allow me to take pictures, but after watching Ian and Ty dance to Just Dance on my Wii.... well, I think I can die and say my life has been complete. It was so funny! They just threw themselves out there and went for it.... and it was amazing! What a fun way to end a fun weekend! Now I'm watching Enchanted with the girls.... what a great movie!

I've been waiting for a true love's kiss, and a prince I'm hoping comes with this....

Time Warner Blues....

After one week, three scheduled appointments, and about five hours total on the phone with Time Warner, we finally have cable and internet! Thank goodness. We were feeling pretty primitive there for a while!

This week has consisted of a lot of pool time. It has been amazing! I'm trying my hardest not to take this summer vacation thing for granted. I know that before I know it, it will be time to go back to work. I will be glad to get back into a routine, but the thought of waking up early makes me sick! Therefore I slept in every day this week and then went to the pool in the afternoons.

Almost every night we had friends come over. It's amazing how now that we live close to our friends, they come every day. I'm so glad that they do, because I love having people over! We have played plenty of Wii, N64, and put the margaritaville to good use. It's been a fun and laid back week! Tonight is classic movie night at Susan's. It should be fun! :)

I'm going to leave this post with a few pictures of our new apartment. We love it! There are more pictures on facebook. This way all of our friends and family in Alabama (and elsewhere) can see the new place! Next weekend we are going to Arkansas for Wo's wedding. I am excited about seeing friends from Alabama. It should be fun! Until next time....

Moving Day

Moving day! Thank goodness for boys! (They come in handy on moving days! ;-) )
I can't wait to be in our new apartment in DALLAS! :)
