Hanging File Folder
I saw something similar to these on Pinterest, and thought I'd give it a try! I did mine differently though. These are hanging file folders! Valerie, Holly, and I decided we would tackle them! However, we couldn't find any file folders that we just loved. So, we decided to design our own! Using the scrapbook paper I already had, we designed our folders! We used mod podge (my new favorite) to get the paper on the folders. We then punched holes in them and tied them all together! It was simple easy! The colorful one is Valerie's that I made for her! (Valerie was a great watcher though!) The purple one is Holly's. Holly actually pulled her crafty hands out for this one! She cut and pasted all the papers to the folders! I just had to put it all together. Way to go Holly! I think they turned out so cute and I can't wait to do mine later this week!
These are going to look so cute in their classrooms!!!!

Mod Podger!
I'm in love with mod podge. It's seriously the best thing ever! I have been going crazy with mod podge!! Here are two things I've been making...
Here are hall passes for my classroom! I chose scrapbook paper and mod podged it on the painted wood. Then I cricutted the letters, and covered it all with mod podge again. I think they turned out so cute!
I also made these coasters for our den! I used tiles from Lowe's! (That were only 16 cents!!) I mod podged the scrapbook paper on and then coated it with mod podge again. It turned out so cute! I'm in love with them! I can't wait to make more!
Mod podge is seriously the best thing ever!!

Miss K!
My friend Valerie just graduated from UNT with a degree in elementary education. She is interviewing for jobs now, so I made a basket with fun little things for her. There were borders, stickers, passes, notebooks, etc. Here are some of the things that I made to go in the bucket!
I started with a composition notebook....And ended with this! So cute! This is the front...
...and the back.
And here is the clipboard before....
And after! It matches the notebook!
And here is the back of the clipboard! I went back and added "Miss" in pink above the K!
Here are the notebook and clipboard together! So cute!
Here are some buckets before....... and after!
Here is the basket before....
...and after!
Here is the hand sanitizer before....
and after!!
and here is the back!
I had so much fun making the basket and I can't wait to give it to her!

Where is...
my brain?!?!?
OK, so here's a funny story for you. Before we begin, you must know that I have one of those vera bradley keychain wallets that I keep my debit card in, and it's attached to my car keys. Ok, moving on. I go to Target tonight to pick up some things. I get to the check out, and I can't find my keys anywhere. I'm seriously freaking out. I had the lady check my basket, but it wasn't there. I went to customer service to see if they had been turned in, no luck. I went through the entire store looking for them... no luck. I begin to freak out.
I go outside to see if I dropped them in the parking lot somewhere. Well, I didn't park where I normally do, so I was thinking "Ohmygosh, someone found my keys and stole my car!" I'm seriously freaking out. Then I see it in the back corner of the parking lot, so I run over there. As I walk up, I hear a car engine and I think "Oh, the person next to me must be in their car..."
I walk up to my car window, and it's my car running. What! And sure enough, there are my keys... in the ignition... with the car cranked. Then I think, "Great, I locked my keys in the car with the keys in the ignition and the car cranked! Just great..." And I reach for the door knob....
...and it's unlocked. WHAT! Did I really leave my keys in the ignition, the car cranked, and the door unlocked?!?!? WOW. I'm super super shocked that my car wasn't stolen because I had been in Target for like... thirty minutes!!!
I'm personally convinced I dropped the keys somewhere and someone put the keys in the ignition and cranked the car as a prank. Ok, that's way creepy, but I just can't believe that I left my keys in the ignition, cranked!! Where is my brain??!?!?!?!

Pinterest & Mod Podge
First off, I'm obsessed with Pinterest. Seriously. It's an addiction. And it's BAD... because I have gotten so many craft ideas and I just can't stop crafting. Also, thanks to Pinterest, I've been introduced to the most amazing supply ever...
Mod Podge!! I have crafted for years and never used this... until now. I am obsessed. I feel like such an idiot for never using it! Thanks to mod podge, I have made many, many crafts. I can't wait to share the pictures with you! I've made coasters (that are ADORABLE!), picture frames, hall & bathroom passes for my classroom, and I have many other crafts on the waiting list! This stuff is amazing!!!!! I will post pictures of my new crafts SOON! Until then, I'm going to go pin more fun things to my board... I'm obsessed!!

Betsy!
I'm back home in Dallas. First off, it's hot here. Geez! I miss the California weather!
This past week was such a great week! If you read my following posts, you can read a summary of what all we did. We crammed so much into my days there! But it was a blast. The best part was getting to spend the week with Betsy. Betsy and I became friends our junior year of college. She moved back to California right after graduation, and this was only the third time we had seen each other since.
We laughed so much! One night we went through old pictures from college that were on our computers and just laughed and laughed. We had so many good times in college and so many this past week as well!
THANK YOU for hosting me for the week, Betsy! I had so much fun and I hope you did as well. I miss you already! I'm coming back next summer, for sure!!! Maybe we can do Southern Cal then!! (Disneyland!!)

Santa Cruz, Napa Valley, and another day in San Fran!
Tomorrow is my last day in California! I fly home Tuesday morning. Friday we went to Santa Cruz...
That night we went to concert in the park with two of Betsy's best friends from high school. We then went to a local Mexican restaurant, followed by going out with her friends. It was a crazy night!
Saturday we went to Napa Valley with her mom and her mom's friend... it was SO PRETTY!....
Saturday night we ate at this little restaurant and then visited Alec and Dan. After that we ate dessert and had the best strawberry shortcake! It was DIVINE!
Today we spent the day in San Francisco again. We grabbed lunch with my cousin, Catherine. (Who, by the way, is one of the funniest people in the world!) We then went around and did touristy things with her. For example, we drove across the Golden Gate bridge and took pictures. We went to Ghiredelli (spelling??) and got sundaes. We went to Buena Vista and got Irish Coffees. We hung out in a park and watched a kid fly a kite! It was so funny! Then we met up with my dear Moho! (Molly) We grabbed dinner with her off of Hyait/Ashbury. It was a great day and I got to see two of my favorite people! (Unfortunately, I forgot to take pictures with Mo!) But here are some from today...
This trip has gone by so quickly! Tomorrow is my last day. Betsy and I are going to spend it relaxing and just hanging out together! I think we're going to grab breakfast and then spend the day shopping and end it with a night with her brother and boyfriend. I've so enjoyed my time touring California, but I've enjoyed my time with Betsy the most! She is such a dear friend! We have laughed non-stop and it has reminded me of how much I miss seeing her on a daily basis! Her friendship is such a blessing. I'm going to miss her so so much when I get back to Texas!!!
(Also, my pictures don't like that great once I upload them on blog. Does anyone know how to make them look clearer? They look blurry to me. They look so much better on facebook, so check them out there!)
