-Alabama won it's 14th national championship!
-I met Robert and "talked" with him for a few weeks. Didn't work out, but still a nice guy!
-Bonfire in White Rock Lake Park at 2AM (Was that really this year? It feels like forever ago!)
-Saw Wicked in Austin with Kevin and Alicean
-Attended Kevin and Alicean's super bowl party!
*January was probably the calmest of the 12 months! Nothing too big happened!February:
-Met Jesse and John and dated both of them for a few weeks. In the end, chose John over Jesse and dated John for 7 months. That relationship was FILLED with ups and downs and most definitely did not work out, but I learned a lot more about myself and what I want from that relationship, and I wish him the best in life!
-Celebrated Sarah's birthday! Of course, I made her heart shaped strawberry cake! I can't believe it's almost time to make this again!
-My grandmother was diagnosed with being in the last stage of lung cancer.
March:
-I decided to buy a house!
-I found out I was going to be an aunt!
-Started the house search and found my house on the second day!
-Spring break was spent in Dallas looking at houses and filling out paperwork!
-My grandmother passed away, so I flew home for the funeral.
-Saw "Hunger Games" in an early viewing with Ty.
-Played in "Jam the Gym" with some co-workers. We lost in the first round. Regardless, it was fun!
-Easter was spent in Dallas, and I had a bunch of my friends in town come over for a big lunch after church. It was the first time I've spent Easter without family, but we had fun!
-I was able to announce to the world that I was going to be an aunt!
-I met Nick and dated him off and on whenever John and I were off... HA!
-I closed on my house!
-I moved into my house!
May:
-Carrie Underwood's new CD came out. I know this has nothing to do with my life, but I still loved the CD and listened to it for probably half of this year. HA!
-My student's PBL project on Hometown Heroes was on the news!
-My Charlie bear started saying my name! It melted my heart and has ever since. It started out with "Dedder" but has now progressed to "Header"... and sometimes just "Honey"... but regardless, it melts my heart! I love that little boy!
-I threw an awesome Cinco De Mayo Couples Shower for Scatie!
-I helped host an awesome bachelorette party for Katie with her sister!
-My sister got engaged, and I was there to take pictures of it!
-My baby brother graduated from highschool.
-Katie had her bridesmaid luncheon!
-Scatie had their rehearsal/rehearsal dinner!
-Scatie got MARRIED! I was so blessed to be a part of their day! It was one of the best weddings I've had the joy of being a part of. Their friendship means SO much to me and I'm so thankful that they found each other!!
-I got to see Nikki while in Tuscaloosa!
- I took some of my Dallas friends to Tuscaloosa for the day while we were in town for Katie's wedding!
WHEW! May was a busy month!!!
June:
-I had to get a big ol' tree cut down... bye bye $$$!
-Summer started!
-I painted and redid a lot of furniture!
(The buffet now has a black mirror hanging over it and two big silver lamps! It looks better with the big pieces. :) )
-I finished decorating my living room!
-I visited Ali in Austin for a few days while Kevin was out of town.
-I hung out and just enjoyed summer!
July:
-Holly had her first wedding shower in Irving!
-Celebrated the 4th of July with my girls by watching fire works!
-I celebrated my 25th birthday by having a joint party with Holly and Cali! Holly and I dressed alike for old twins sake, and we spent the night with our closest friends!
-My little brother, cousin, and two of their friends came to visit for a week.
-I threw a dessert couples shower for Holly and Zack.
-Some of our mom's friends threw Holly a shower in Trussville at the Chocolate Biscuit Tea Room!
-I went to Alabama for one of my childhood friend's weddings.
-Charlee and Julie threw Holly a bachelorette party in Alabama! We ate dinner at Charlee's, played games, and then went out to a bar to sing kareoke!
-My older brother and sister in law had a family baby shower for Carter. It was fun to spend the day together celebrating Carter!
August:
-I threw Holly a bachelorette party in Dallas. We ate dinner at joe T Garcia's and then went to Four Day Weekend in Ft Worth!
-Charlie turned 2!
-Holly had her bridesmaid luncheon at Paula's!
-Holly and Zack had their rehearsal dinner!
-Holly and Zack got MARRIED!
-School started and I moved up to 8th grade English!
-I went to the Alabama/Michigan game at Cowboy Stadium with John.
September:
-John and I broke up and parted ways for the last time.
-I threw a baby shower for my nephew, Carter!
-Meagan moved in!
-September was a pretty calm month!
October:
-Carter was born!!
-We won trunk or treat again! This year we were Disney characters! I spent most of my free time in October making all of our costumes! We had a TON of tutu making parties and a TON of sewing parties!
November:
-I spent the first weekend of November in Austin with Carter!
-Lily girl was born!
-We celebrated Amy's birthday!
-Mangria night at Henry's!
-Thanksgiving in Alabama! Matthew went home with me for a few days and I enjoyed showing him around the Magic City!
-I also got to see a ton of my friends while I was home!
-I went to the Iron Bowl! It was so nice to be back in Bryant Denny!
December:
-Decorated my house for the first time!
-Holly came in town one weekend and we spent the weekend Christmas shopping, crafting, seeing friends, and watching Alabama beat Florida in the National Championship!
-Celebrated Jamie's birthday!
-Had a craft night with my work friends!
-Pulse had it's Christmas party!
-Tacky Sweater contest at JMS!
-Charlee and Stephen lost precious Max, but his little life will impact mine forever!!
-My family came in town for a week for Christmas! I got lots of Carter time! And it SNOWED!
-And tonight, I'm ending December and 2012 with a party with my favorite people!! Tonight we are having a progressive dinner and I can't wait to see my friends!
2012 was a crazy year! Looking back on it today was a lot of fun. It definitely had it's ups and downs! It most certainly came with a lot of blessings as well! I'm leaving 2012 with a house, a brother in law, a nephew, an awesome roommate, and a new "niece" that I didn't have at the beginning of 2012! I'd say that's a good year! I'm excited to see what 2013 holds!
