Thank you for holding me hand and drying my tears through all of the trails we faced as a family. Thank you for being strong for us when the rest of us didn't know how to be strong. Thank you for teaching me that it is HE who is strong, not us, to begin with.
Thank you for the many hours we spent in the kitchen cooking together, the many hours we spent at malls shopping, and the many hours we spent around the house just talking.
Thank you for all of the times that you gave me advice when I needed it, and thank you for letting me not listen to the advice, fall, and realize you were right all along.
Thank you for being an amazing hostess who always opened her home to others. Thank you for teaching me that everything God has blessed me with should be shared with others. Thank you for teaching me that we live this life to pour ourselves into others so that Christ shows through all we do.
Thank you for sharing your laugh and smile with us. It could brighten up anyone's day. Thank you for loving my friends as if they were your own, and for listening to them when they needed someone to talk to, too. Thank you for singing throughout the house as you did your chores, it was always a blessing to hear the latest praise song being sung over the vacuum cleaner.
Thank you for preparing me to live this life without you by my side. You spent the 18 1/2 years that we had together being the best mother possible. You taught me the most important lessons, and even before you were gone, you talked to me about so many things that I would need to hear once you weren't here anymore. Thank you for putting up with my stubbornness and impatience. Thank you for loving me through my flaws. I've missed you every single day for the past 5 years and 4 months, and I will miss you every single day until we are united again. Thank you for everything you ever taught me, and things that I still learn from you today.
Happy Mother's Day, Lala!!!! I love you.
